This is an ideal time to promote our community-based public schools, and the Stand Up campaign provides the public with a more accurate and thorough perspective of public education. It highlights the creativity that is prevalent in our public schools, which produces unique and amazing activities and outcomes every day. The public will learn more about innovative programs in communities, from the smallest to the largest school districts, across the country and about the dauntless and bold actions of educators – teachers, administrators, superintendents, and school board members – that help prepare students for the future.
On Saturday, March 25, at the Annual Conference in Denver, NSBA relaunched the refreshed Stand Up 4 Public Schools campaign. To help raise awareness in your state, this toolkit contains images, newsletter copy, posters, presentation content, social media content, talking points, and teaser versions of the video (suitable for social media or presentations). The red wristbands are also available.
The campaign is a great platform for showcasing programs and people in your state and we want to add them to the website. We hope to hear from you soon, and often. Please contact Valarie Carty (703-838-6168 or vcarty@nsba.org) or Linda Embrey (703-838-6737 or lembrey@nsba.org) to let us know about efforts that deserve recognition.
