The Federal School Safety Clearinghouse will be hosting a webinar on Thursday, August 17 at 3:00 p.m. EDT on back-to-school federal school safety training, technical assistance, and resources available to kindergarten through grade 12 (K-12) schools and school districts. The session will specifically focus on information related to school safety, school climate, and student mental health supports.
The presentation will include information about the U.S. Department of Education's Readiness and Emergency Management for Schools Technical Assistance Center, the National Center on Safe Supportive Learning Environments, and the Center on Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports; the U.S. Department of Justice's National Center for School Safety; and the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration's Center of Excellence on Social Media and Youth Mental Health. Guest speakers will provide an overview of their offerings and how they support members of the K-12 community. The discussion will also include a Q&A session for participants.
