    Carnegie Mellon University is hosting an online symposium on June 22nd as a panel of experts - made up of top leaders and subject-matter experts in the education, physical security, and technology space - convene together for a high-level, unscripted discussion on the emergency situation in school safety today and how technology can enable a proactive and meaningful path forward.

    In this special 60-minute discussion guest speakers will include:

    • Guy Grace - Longtime and legendary Director of Security for Littleton Public Schools, Colorado with 34-year career dedicated to school safety; Vice-Chairman of the Partner Alliance for Safer Schools (PASS); U.S. Army veteran.
    • Michael Matranga - CEO, M6 Global security consultancy and former director of security for Texas City ISD.
    • Avi Golan - CEO Oosto, specializing in video analytics and facial recognition.
    • Bruce Montgomery - SLED-FED Market Leader and Schools Security Technology SME for Honeywell Integrated Security (10 years); 25-year law enforcement veteran; Active Shooter Response instructor to law enforcement and schools for 14 years.
    • Shlomit Yanisky-Ravid, Ph.D. - Yale Law School professor of intellectual Property (IP) Law, focusing on the challenges of advanced technology, artificial intelligence (AI), blockchain, cyberspace, privacy, and competition laws.


    An inspiring 20-minute lecture on the latest developments in computer vision, and artificial intelligence and how these can provide security and safety alerts – in real-time, and sometimes in advance.
