The COVID-19 pandemic continues to impact kindergarten through grade 12 (K-12) schools across the country. As students return to school for the second half of the 2021-22 school year – and as new COVID-19 outbreaks occur in states and communities – K-12 schools are encouraged to continue implementing layered prevention strategies to protect students, teachers, staff, and school personnel and maintain in-person learning.

To help support schools and districts in addressing the on-going impact of the pandemic, please find attached a one-pager that provides information on a range of COVID-19 resources available to the K-12 community. In addition to outlining strategies and tools related to COVID-19 prevention, the infographic includes information on mental health resources for schools to support students, educators, and staff who have been impacted by the pandemic and its effects.

As COVID-19 continues to evolve – and to find additional resources and information – schools are encouraged to frequent CDC's official website for the latest guidance as it becomes available. In addition, CDC guidance is meant to supplement – not replace – any federal, state, local, territorial, or tribal health and safety laws, rules, and regulations with which schools must comply. The adoption and implementation of guidance should be done in collaboration with regulatory agencies and state, local, territorial, and tribal public health departments, and in compliance with state and local policies and practices.
