As a newcomer to this group, I am wondering which state associations have a board self-evaluation tool and related services. I am interested details regarding:
- content structure - is there a content framework (e.g., Key Work, Iowa Lighthouse principles, other)
- format (paper, online, scannable, etc.)
- reporting options, type of results
- interpretation of results
- facilitated discussion of results
- fee structure for any/all of the above
In Missouri, we have a tool based on the Iowa Lighthouse principles and organized around our state school improvement goal areas (student achievement, high quality staff, facilities/budget/resources, parent & community engagement, governance). We offer a free version or a fee-based scannable version as well as facilitated discussion.
