    Department of Education Releases 'Return to School Roadmap'

    The "Return to School Roadmap" provides key resources and guidance for students, parents, educators, and school communities returning to classrooms this school year and outlines how federal funding can support the safe and sustained return to in-person learning. It includes a guide for schools and districts outlining what schools can do to protect the health and safety of students, as well as a checklist parents can use to prepare themselves and their children for the return to campus.     CISA Launches 2021 Back to School Campaign

    The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) recently launched a "2021 Back to School" campaign to help members of the K-12 community remain safe from cybersecurity threats as they return to school. Throughout the campaign, CISA will highlight ways students, parents, teachers, and school administrators can stay safe online, avoid becoming victims of a cyberattack, and learn best practices to improve cyber hygiene.     Guidance for COVID-19 Prevention in K-12 Schools (U.S. Department of Health and Human Services) – This updated guidance outlines protocol and best practices for safely returning to in-person instruction in the fall, including information and best practices on vaccination, indoor masking, physical distancing, screening, and other COVID-19 prevention strategies.


    What to do if a Student Becomes Sick or Reports a New COVID-19 Diagnosis at School
    (U.S. Department of Health and Human Services) – This flowchart outlines recommended guidance school staff should follow if a student becomes sick or reports a new COVID-19 diagnosis at school.


    Improving Ventilation in Schools, Colleges, and Universities to Prevent COVID-19
    (U.S. Department of Education) – This resource helps schools improve their ventilation systems to prevent the spread of COVID-19, as well as outlines how American Rescue Plan funds can be used to improve indoor air quality for in-person instruction.
